Best's operations in the European, Middle Eastern and African region are conducted through two wholly owned subsidiaries in London, A.M. Best Europe - Rating Services Limited (AMBERS) and A.M. Best Europe - Information Services Limited (AMBEIS). The primary operations of AMBERS relate to the issuance of insurance credit ratings. Today, the rating coverage of AMBERS includes regional and national insurers, as well as global organizations, located throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, the Middle East as well as Africa. In addition to publishing credit ratings, A.M. Best is also a well-known and highly regarded source of information and commentary on insurance trends and issues through a host of other products and services - including books, directories, CD-ROM products and Internet-based services pertaining to the insurance industry. AMBEIS primarily serves as A.M. Best's provider of information and news products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
